Overview

The School's Out Site Supervisor provides direct supervision to a group of children in a before/after school program. This role creates positive, nurturing relationships with children, while building cooperative relationships with parents/caregivers and promotes and supports the potential of all youth in programs and facilitates peer-to-peer connections as part of the overall School's Out experience.

 

We are hiring for several schools within the Gloucester area including Woodbury, South Harrison, Upper Pittsgrove and Wenonah

 

Position shifts are Morning 6:50am to 8:00am/9:00am and Afternoons 2:30pm/3:00pm to 6:00pm

Responsibilities

  • Supervises a group of children ages 4 to 12.
  • Plans and implements program activities that are culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate and consistent with YMCA values.
  • Adheres to program standards including safety and cleanliness standards including Covid-19 policies and procedures.
  • Attends staff meetings and trainings.
  • Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergencies.
  • Maintains positive relations with parents and other staff. Models relationship-building skills in all interactions.
  • Accurate documentation of attendance, absentees, and emergency information on each child.
  • Supervision of all site staff.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Sr. Manager of Youth Development.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent; one year or more of college preferred.
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a child care setting.
  • At least 21 years of age
  • CPR, first aid, AED certifications, and child abuse prevention training within 90 days of hire date.
  • Previous experience with diverse populations preferred.

Posted Salary Range

USD $17.00 - USD $20.00 /Hr.
