SNAP Navigator

The SNAP Navigator at Gloucester County YMCA provides community outreach and application support for SNAP benefits across Gloucester and Salem counties. Responsibilities include educating residents on eligibility, assisting with applications, and sharing SNAP resources at local events. This role promotes health equity and strengthens access to nutrition assistance.

• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

• Understanding food security and food access issues.
• Recruit individuals inquiring about SNAP benefits program.
• Learn the YMCA mission and values.
• Engage business leaders in supporting the YMCA mission and values.
• Plan and implement marketing strategies that increase enrollment in the SNAP program.

• Good organizational and execution skills, focus on detail
• Strong team player who can work independently
• Enjoys collaborating and takes directions from other team mates
• High level of written and oral communication.
• Comfortable with public speaking and facilitation
• Good knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Excellent customer service required
